Cameroon
African champions Cameroon have been eliminated from the race to the 2018 world cup finals in Russia after a one all tie with Nigeria in the return game in Yaounde.
Nigeria took the lead after thirty minutes, and Cameroon equalised at the 75th minute through a penalty.
The result means Cameroon have just three points from four matches and can no longer finish top of Group B.
Cameroon’s head coach who has been heavily criticised after the mediocre performance says he wants to win a second Africa cup of Nations with the Indomitable lions.
The Belgian born coach Hugo Broos, who threatened to quit Cameroon earlier this year over management and funding problems, is scheduled to stay with the African champions until February 2018, when his contract expires.
