Japan has unveiled the 2020 logos of the Olympic and Paralympic Games designed by Japanese designer Asao Tokolo.
The new designs were made with Japanese colours and patterns bringing out the message of unity in diversity.

The three varieties of rectangular shapes represent different countries, cultures and ways of thinking while the five rings represent the Olympic movement.
The chosen logos have therefore replaced another design that was dropped last year on plagiarism claims.
“I have just learnt about him and I am speechless. I took a long time to design this and I look at the logo as my baby,” Asao Tokolo, designer of the logos told reporters.
The allegations of plagiarism had been refuted by the designer.
