At least three people have been killed after a twin suicide attack in Maiduguri, capital of Borno state in Nigeria.
According to sources at the National Agency for the Management of emergency, the attack occured on Sunday evening towards midnight around the Dalori camp. The Delori camp is located around fifteen kilometres from Maiduguri and welcomes about 50.000 displaced persons. The area is frequently targeted by suicide attackers.
The Nigerian authorities generally attribute this kind of attack on the jihadist group Boko Haram.
Since 2009, Boko Haram insurrection has caused at least 20,000 deaths leaving more than 2 million displaced.
