A political dialogue is currently ongoing in the Democratic Republic of Congo under the mediation of the Catholic Church. It aims to find a solution to the political impasse in the country, ahead of December 19 when President Joseph Kabila is expected to step down.
A political compromise is expected to be reached with the ruling majority latest on December 15.
