The United Nations evacuated hundreds of fighters loyal to former South Sudan vice president Riek Machar from a game reserve in the Democratic Republic of Congo including some of his close relations.
A resurgence of violence in July in Juba saw a resurgence of violence that left hundreds dead and thousands fleeing the Country… Riek Machar who is currently in Sudan’s capital Khartoum was also among those extracted by Monusco.
