Somali government launches email for public opinions, advice

Somalia

Somalia has launched an email address calling on the public to offer advice and opinions to be considered by the government.

The Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire announced the email address: “info@opm.gov.so” on social media over the weekend with a message in the Somali language soliciting views from Somalis.

“Please send us your messages, suggestions and concerns through the following email. This office will give its priority to attend to it,” he tweeted on Sunday.

The post got a lot of responses with some Somalis praising the government for the initiative while others criticizing them for not heeding to advice in the past.

Mashallah, very good initiative.
