Egypt
Pope Francis two day visit to Egypt came to an end on Saturday afternoon.
The pontiff was escorted to his plane by Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
He left Egypt after embracing Muslim leaders and challenging religious extremists.
The Pope used the visit to send a message of tolerance and co-existence.
The visit was designed to forge Muslim-Christian brotherhood and show solidarity with the country’s persecuted Coptic Christian minority.
The pontiff’s trip came weeks after suicide attacks on two churches killed dozens of people.
In a series of speeches during his two-day stay, the pope delivered his bluntest denunciations yet against religious violence.
