Nigerian forward Alex Iwobi was on target in the English Premier League (PL) as his club side, Arsenal, beat Stoke City by 3 – 1 at home. This was Iwobi’s first strike of the season for the London side.
Iwobi came on as a substitute for with about 20 minutes to the end of the match replacing Englishman Alex Oxlade Chamberlain.
Six minutes after his introduction into the game, Iwobi secured the result for Arsene Wenger’s side by scoring from an Alexis Sanchez pass, drilling the ball into the low corner of the Stoke City goal.

Before his strike, Arsenal were leading by two goals to one. Arsenal’s goals came through Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil. Stoke were however the first to score through a Charlie Adam penalty after half an hour into the first half.
With the win, Arsenal leapt to the top of the league temporarily because leaders Chelsea play West Brom in the arly kickoff on Sunday.
