Australian Rhiannan Iffland completed a fairytale debut season in the Women’s Red Bull Cliff diving World Series by winning the overall title.
The Wildcard entrant, who was relatively unknown at the start of the season, won the impressive floodlit Dubai stop for her fifth success from seven events this campaign which was enough to seal the World Series crown.
She finished her rookie season ahead of Canadian Lysanne Richard and American Cesilie Carlton.
Over on the men’s circuit Andy Jones from the US celebrated his first ever victory on the World Series when he won the season-ender in the Dubai Marina.
UK’s Gary Hunt who had already sealed his sixth men’s title coming into the event had to settle for second place while Mexico’s Jonathan Paredes rounded out the Dubai podium in third.
