A 20-year-old immigrant from Turkey has been detained over a gun attack at a US shopping mall that left five people dead.
The arrest came a day after a manhunt was launched for a suspect following Friday night’s shooting in the town of Burlington in Washington State.
According to Lt. Chris Cammock of Mount Vernon Police Department, the suspect named Arkan Cetin is taken into custody .
Legally resident in the US, he was identified as a suspect and captured walking down a street in Oak Harbor, his home community some 50 kilometres away.
The motive for the shooting in a department store is unknown.
A man and four women were killed, including a 16-year-old who had survived cancer as a young girl.
