Nigerian football legends will take on Spanish club Barcelona legends in a charity match, organised to honour the work of Nigerian First Lady, Aisha Buhari.
The match dubbed ‘Clash of Legends’ will feature stars like Nigeria’s Jay Jay Okocha, Nwanko Kanu and Netherland’s Edgar Davids who played for Barcelona.
The competition organized by National Centre for Women Development (NCWD) in conjunction with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is scheduled for 10th March at the National Stadium, Abuja.
The match is being organised to support the charity work of Mrs Buhari’s foundation Future Assured Programme.
The Director General, NCWD Mrs Mary Ekpere-Eta at a press briefing on the programme, yesterday, said NCWD and UNICEF having recognised the laudable project of the first lady is hosting the two-day programme in her support for the work she is doing especially for the Nigerian child.

The UNICEF chief education officer, Terry Dumnian said they are supporting the programme because education is diverse adding that they are using sport as a uniting force to bring the children together and impact on their lives.
