The Morning Call
SG Sustainable Oils Cameroon an agribusiness company, is being sued by locals and farmers in southwest Cameroon for trespassing and distorting their livelihood. The company has been conducting large scale palm oil farming with little regard for the land owners. The Oakland Institute in the United States released a report which stated that “bullying” by U.S. government officials may have played a critical role in granting nearly 20,000 hectares of land in Cameroon to a U.S. Company that controls SG Sustainable Oils.
