The Burqini ban in France is stirring up so much controversy. Photos of armed French police who forced a woman to take off some clothing at a beach in Nice has fuelled the debate. After the Nice attack, French premier Manuel Valls said the Burqini was part of a political project based “on the enslavement of women”, and was “not compatible with the values of France and the republic”. Hadj Adida Mbomiko of the Africa Islamic Education for Peace in Duoala, Cameroon wades in on this controversial issue.
