Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini are free to appeal against their 8 year bans from any football related activity.
The news came after FIFA’s ethics committee judges sent them written reasons for the verdict.

‘‘The adjudicatory chamber of the independent ethics committee has fulfilled its commitment to provide the grounds for the respective decisions to Mr. Blatter and Mr. Platini within the first half of January 2016 as they had previously been informed,’‘ the judges said in a statement
Both men were banned in December over bribery allegations.
The timing of the payment raised suspicions and it came as Blatter was preparing to stand for a fourth term as FIFA president.
Blatter and Platini deny wrongdoing.

If the appeals to FIFA do not succeed, Blatter and Platini can appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Blatter wants to be cleared before the Feb. 26 FIFA election congress.
