Francois Compaore, brother of former Burkinabe President Blaise Compaore, has been released from custody in France where he was arrested on Sunday at Paris Roissy airport.
Francois had been arrested at the airport upon an international arrest warrant issued by Burkina Faso.
Though now released, he must await the outcome of an examination of a request for his extradition by Burkina Faso.
