Tunisia, Senegal and Morocco are well placed to complete the African line-up for the qualifiers, where Egypt and Nigeria are already through.
And in Athletics, Usain Bolt retired from World Athletics , and the IAAF wants a radical review of track and field to ensure the sport survives as a spectator sport according to its president Sebastian Coe.
The president said he was considering anything from franchised teams bidding for athletes to pop-up tracks in streets and football stadiums to attract new fans.
