The Morning Call
As of May, 2017, there were about 5 million domain names associated with Africa with a total annual value of $52 million.
This is not much because it represents only 1% of the generic top-level domains registered worldwide.
Out of the 1.4 million generic domains registered in Africa, 1.2 million are .com domains.
This month, expect the .africa domain which will be sold by ICANN accredited registrars.
