Central African Republic
The son of the former President of Central African Republic, François Bozizé was arrested on Friday and detained for several hours by a special unit of investigators in Bangui.
Jean-Francis Bozizé, a former Minister of National Defense and right hand man of his father, had just spent a few days in Bangui after a 3-year exile when he was arrested when he was in the process of sorting out criminal charges with the Central African justice offices.
He was subjected to a warrant of arrest by the international Justice system over war crimes he committed during the reign of his father.
Both the president and his son had fled the country during the uprising of the Seleka rebels and which toppled his government in Bangui in December 2013.
