The Kenyan government has expressed dissent over the dismissal of one of their own as commander of the UN peacekeeping force in South Sudan by pulling out their 1229 strong personnel. The Kenyan foreign affairs ministry has described the move by the UN Secretary General to fire Lt. Gen Johnson Mogoa Kimani Ondieki as disrespectful saying the process that led to his dismissal lacked transparency and did not involve any formal consultation with the government of Kenya.
