The wanted mastermind of the car bomb explosion at the entrance of Somalia’s biggest port in the capital Mogadishu that claimed at least 30 lives has been arrested.
Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) announced on Monday that they had detained Mohamed Ibrahim Hassan in a successful operation in the lower Shabelle region.

“This is the man who was the driver of the car bomb attack near Mogadishu seaport, the security forces captured him in an operation at Km-50 in lower Shabelle region,” NISA commander for Benadir region, Mohamed Hassan Faran-fir told the Somali National News Agency.
Over 50 people were injured in the attack which was claimed by Al Shabaab in a statement.
Most of the people killed and wounded in the attack were reported to be civilians and seaport employees.
