The Morning Call
Burkinabe security agencies are still searching for suspected masterminds of a coup attempt that would have brought back former president Blaise Compaore to power. The foiled coup resulted in the arrest of ten plotters said to belong to a special squad that operated when Compaore was president. This coup attempt comes days after authorities announced the release of Col. Mamadou Bamba, the officer who announced the 2015 abortive coup by forces loyal to Mr. Compaore.
