The Morning Call
According to the World Bank and UNICEF, almost 385 million children lived in extremely poor households as at 2013. The stark findings by the two organizations indicated that children were more susceptible to lead a life of poverty into adulthood. The risks have been attributed to factors such as living in countries that have experienced conflict as well as inadequate national economic management, lack of policies to combat inequity and a weak civil society.
