The Ebola epidemic was recently declared in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The country’s Ministry of Health has so far recorded two positive confirmed cases, 49 suspected cases and four deaths.
In a move to contain the Ebola virus from spreading, the World Health Organisation is urgently appealing for funds to support a new vaccine study to fund surveillance, treatment and conventional prevention and control efforts.
