South Africa
South Africa’s oldest anti-apartheid political party, the African National Congress (ANC) celebrates its 105th anniversary on Sunday, January 8, 2017.
The day was ushered in by showers of rain as thousands of supporters filled the 40,000-capacity Orlando Stadium in Soweto to celebrate the party born in 1912.
Led by its president, South African President Jacob Zuma, the event will include prayers, speeches, awards ceremony and a musical concert.
