Thousands march for climate justice in Marrakech

Thousands of activists have marched to demand climate justice from global envoys gathered for the ongoing COP 22 talks.

The protest for fairer climate deals took place just a few kilometers away from the venue of U.N. climate change talks.

An activist said, “We want world leaders to be reasonable, that make wise decisions wise decisions for the benefit of the people, they change their system of production which is driving us into a wall, we will not be able to stop the temperature with the current consumption and production system.

More than 190 countries are attending the climate summit which runs until November 18 in Marrakech to discuss the implementation of the Paris agreement.

Diplomats will negotiate rules for putting the Paris Agreement’s goals into action.

Dozens of African leaders, as well as French President, Francois Hollande and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, are expected at the talks on Tuesday.
