South Sudan call for ceasefire [The Morning Call]

After the united nations security council demanded that south Sudanese president Salva Kiir and first vice-president Riek Machar control their forces after violence erupted in the country, the president Salva Kiir issued out a unilateral ceasefire and cessation of hostilities ordering government troops to “disengage” from fighting rival forces loyal to his vice president Riek Machar.

Robert Kodingo and Hannane Ferdjani speak to MARC LAVERGNE a researcher at CNRS in France about the escalation of violence in the country and what it might lead to if not handled properly.
