Most importantly it has been able to successfully link agriculture to other sectors. Perhaps this could help Africa alleviate poverty and achieve food security.

Subsistence Agriculture is one of Africa challenged in the sector, AfDB emphasizes the need to move up on the value chain and transforming Agriculture into a lucrative business.
The bank estimates African agriculture will become a US $1 trillion business by 2030.
