The 2016 Ibrahim Index of African Governance (IIAG) will be released on Monday, October 3, 2016 under the theme: A Decade of African Governance.
To catch up on last year’s index, Africanews presents infographics for the 2015 IIAG which indicated that the overall governance progress in Africa had stalled since 2011.
The index based on a four year trend (2011 to 2014) had shown progress in only two of the IIAG’s categories, Human Development and Participation & Human Rights. The other two categories, Safety & Rule of Law and Sustainable Economic Opportunity, showed a decline.
