The Morning Call
On the first edition of Sports on the extended version of The Morning Call, Juliet Bawuah builds up to the 2016 Olympic Games which officially starts in Rio on Friday with the opening ceremony at the Maracana Stadium.
An estimated three billion people will watch the ceremony, which has taken five years to produce and includes 300 dancers, 5,000 volunteers and 12,000 costumes.
Over 50 African countries have athletes competing in Rio.
Football transfers involving African players and beyond was also not left out.
