Egypt’s interior ministry has identified the suicide bomber in the Alexandria cathedral attack as 31-year-old Mahmoud Hassan Mubarak Abdullah, a resident of Suez province, a statement said on Wednesday.
At least 44 people were killed in attacks on the cathedral and a church in Tanta on Palm Sunday.
Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attacks.
