Nigeria: refining capacity
Nigeria is a giant oil producing nation with four oil refineries yet largely depends on oil imports.
pipeline vandalism has become a drain on the nation’s economy.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) had talks with some external licensors to undertake process audits on its four refineries in Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna.
Once the process audit is concluded, its importation of petroleum products into the country would reduce and the capacity utilization of the refineries is expected increased to 60 per cent by the end of 2017.
