Drug use on the rise [International Edition]

Deaths from drug-related crimes and abuse are on the rise according to a new UN report. About 271 million people aged 15–64 used drugs in 2016.

Meanwhile, the leaders of Iran and the US have again ratcheted up international tension. This is as the EU scrambles to salvage the landmark 2015 deal that froze Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

Also, temperatures are soaring across Europe in what has been called an unprecedented heatwave which could break records.
