Jacob Zuma survives another no confidence vote [The Morning Call]

A motion pushed by south Africa’s biggest opposition party the democratic alliance to pass a vote of no confidence on the president Jacob Zuma was defeated by parliament yesterday with on 214 votes against 126. Zuma has so far survived or won three motions of passing a vote of no confidence following a series of scandals including using state coffers to renovate his personal residence. While facing opposition even from some members of his own party, the ANC, he still retains a strong loyalty among ANC politicians and most party members.
