Voting for next leader begins in South Africa's ANC conference [The Morning Call]

South Africa’s ruling African National Congress has began voting this Monday for a new leader to replace President Jacob Zuma in a tight race between his former wife and

veteran minister Nkoszana Dlamini-Zuma, and deputy president, Cyril Ramaphosa. The vote this Monday is taking place at the party’s national conference in Johannesburg

and follows a dispute over a decision to exclude almost a 10th of the over 5,000 delegates who the party ruled weren’t properly accredited. The vote originally scheduled for

Saturday was postponed though balloting had began.
