Impeachment proceedings to begin against Mugabe [The Morning Call]
Monday. And now the ruling Zanu-PF party is set to begin impeachment proceedings against President Robert Mugabe on charges that include allowing his wife “to usurp constitutional power”.
The motion is expected to be presented to parliament this Tuesday. According to Senior party member Paul Mangwana, the process could take two days to complete, implying that if it goes through,
President Mugabe could be removed by Wednesday. Meanwhile Zimbabwe’s war veterans have filed a lawsuit seeking to legalize the military action against President Robert Mugabe. This it says is the
alternative to drive Mugabe out of power.
