Emergency aid needed for Congo's Pool region [The Morning Call]

Authorities in the Republic of Congo together with the United Nations and 16 aid partners are appealing for 23.7 million dollars in emergency funding to provide humanitarian aid in the Pool region.

At least 165,000 people need aid and about 50,000 have been forced to flee their homes in the southeastern province where the Congolese government began a military operation in April last year.
