Chadian opposition leader Laouken Medard of the Chadian Convention for Peace and Development party was charged on Monday for misappropriation of public property and complicity during his management of the town Hall of Moundou from the year 2012 to the beginning of 2017.

The court hearing in which he was indicted it lasted almost three hours and was held behind closed doors under a tense atmosphere.
