Gabon: Protecting elephants through paintings [The Morning Call]

More than 80 percent of Gabon’s rare forest elephant species have been killed by poachers. This is according to a report published earlier this year.

Chim’s Héritage Fine Art is a well-known painting workshop in Libreville which has three quarters of the art works dedicated to the elephant. Chima Ogbonnaya is an artist who uses arts to sensitize the public on why forest elephants need to be protected.
