Ivory Coast Attack: 15 arrested, kingpin declared 'wanted'

15 people have been arrested in connection with the Grand Bassam attacks in Ivory Coast in which 19 people were killed.

The Ivorian officials have announced a “wanted notice against Dallah Kunta “ who appears to have organized and executed everything that happened in Bassam,” the authorities said without revealing his nationality.

The Ivorian prosecutor, Richard Abidjan Adou and the Interior Minister Hamed Bakayoko on Tuesday at a joint press conference said: “ To date, fifteen people were arrested.”

The Islamist group al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb(AQIM) claimed responsibilty for the attack saying it was a ‘‘warning to ivory coast” and to allies of France who are “participating in the fight against jihadists.”
