Two former prime ministers, Anicet Georges Dologuélé and Faustin Archange Touadéra, came top in the first round of presidential elections in Central African Republic.
Central African Republic to go for a run-off on January 31
They will compete in a run-off scheduled for January 31, according to preliminary results announced on Thursday by the National Election Authority .
In the provisional results announced;
Anicet Georges Dologuélé: polled 281,420 votes representing 23.78 %.
Faustin Archange Touadéra: won 19.42 % with 229 764 votes .
Desire Kolingba: took 12.60% with 149,134 votes
Martin Ziguélé : polled 10.82% with 128 009 votes
A total of 1 181 115 votes was cast and voter turn out was 79 per cent.
