Woman killed, 14 injured as bus crashes into coffee shop in England

14 people were injured after a bus crashed into a building in Peterborough, east England on Thursday (December 24).

Cambridgeshire police confirmed that a collision took place between a single-decker bus and a car just before 12GMT, before the bus veered into a building.

The Fire and Rescue service said that they cut two injured people from the car using specialist rescue equipment and a further twelve people with minor injuries are being treated at a triage centre nearby.

“The emergency services have worked extremely well together to successfully rescue and treat casualties. Severe damage has also been caused to a building as a result of the collision,” said Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Station Commander, Jamie Johnson.
