Nigerian youngster, Alex Iwobi, got his first start scored his first senior goal for English Premier League side Arsenal in their away fixture against Everton.
The player got Arsenal’s second on the day after racing through to beat the Everton goalie with a cool finish on 42 minutes. Earlier on, England international had scored Arsenal’s first after seven minutes of play.

The victory at Goodison Park, earned Arsenal a first win in four league games to revive their Premier League title hopes after enduring a hard week in which they exited two major competitions.
The Gunners lost to Watford to end their dreams of winning a third FA Cup beofre losing 3 – 1 mid week to Barcelona to end their Champions League hopes also at the Camp Nou.
Arsenal, began the day 11 points behind leaders Leicester City still remain in third place with a game in hand on 55 points, three points behind second place and arch North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspurs whoe were also knocked out of the Europa league during the week.

In another game with African interest, Leicester City’s Algerian international Riyad Mahrez scored to ensure that his team’s march to the Premier league title was intact.
Mahrez’s goal saw off a stubborn Crystal Palace side, even though the player had missed an earlier chance after being put through, he made amends when he turned in Jamie Vardy’s cross.
