At least 30 people have been killed after a suicide car bomb near a junction and a suicide bomber at a nearby restaurant exploded in the Somali town of Baidoa, northwest of the capital on Sunday, February 28, a police officer said.

10 others are reported to be wounded in the attack which occurred about 245 kilometers northwest of Mogadishu.
“The restaurant and the junction were very busy and the death toll may rise,“ Police Major Bilow Nurr told Reuters.
Somalia’s al Shabaab Islamist group has claimed responsibility.
