Frenchman Hubert Velud has been appointed as the new TP Mazembe coach. The former Togo coach was selected to succeed Patrice Carteron, who left the club in November 2015.
Velud, 56, was presented at the team’s training grounds in Lubumbashi on Sunday morning in the presence of team President, Moise Katumbi.
“We have hired Hubert Velud to take charge and by doing so, TP Mazembe will get the services of a coach whose reputation is well established on the continent, especially in the Maghreb countries,” the club announced.
His agreement however lasts for just one season.
