I was born and bred in Lagos but educated in the United Kingdom in the University of Leeds. Recently returning to my mother-country Nigeria, I am appalled at the mismanagement and misappropriation of resources and talents here. It has stirred within me a desire to right the wrongs I see through the power of the pen, and report stories that will promote peace and unity in Nigeria and indeed the whole of Africa.
As a christian, I have a strong faith in God and believe that only a full return to the principles of integrity, honesty, justice and truth can ignite practial hope of a brighter future where true democracy not tainted or tarnished by personal interest and plunder can function.
I have always loved journalism as an opportunity to express the beliefs that so strongly permeate my heart, and as a responsibility to stand up for truth and engage in a profession to uplift and encourage the weak and weary.
I am 27 years old, with a keen mind, sharp insight and passion for the plight of the poor. I have been deeply moved and inspired by the ministry of a Nigerian pastor called TB Joshua, who is a living example of practical christianity, and a constant promoter of peace and justice.
