Ronny Zikhali is what they call me in journalism circles.My family hails from Nkandla in deep Kwazulu Natal in South Africa, but father eventually settled in Bulawayo,Zimbabwe, fleeing the oppressive apartheid regime in South Africa in 1980.
After a considerable stay in the city ,my mother gave birth to me and that was in the winter of 1985.I became a Zimbabwean born out of South African parents.From stories that my mother used to tell, it it said I was hooked up to books at an early age.They would see me tossing books around most of the time and that I must say paved way to my greatest interest and profession-writing.
