- Biography
- My name is Joseph Appiah-Dolphyne, I am one of the editors of Afircanews.com. Born in Takoradi, one of the major cities in Ghana. My interest in Journalism developed when I was young but in a sense I was interested in investigating Journalism. I read books on how pan-Africans like Kwame Nkrumah fought for the liberation of Africa through the media. I started high school in Accra, the capital of Ghana. After my high school education, I then entered the Journalism school to study a two-year Diploma programme in Journalism. I had my internship with the Accra Daily Mail, a daily newspaper based in Accra. I also reported for Spice Fm in Takoradi-Ghana, Choice Fm Accra-Ghana. My online experience started with ghanadistricts.com and gongonews.com all in Ghana. I also worked with Metro Tv as a correspondent in Western part of Ghana before joining the Africanews.com team in Ghana.
- My connection to Africa
- West Africa. This is simply because it is around my country, Ghana, and I also understand the culture, tradition and values of the people around me.
