    Kenyan doctors working in the public sector went on a nationwide strike on Monday to demand for a 300 percent pay increment on salaries and allowances. Patients in critical condition will be the most hit victims of the strike as only nurses and other junior health professionals will be available in public health centres countywide. - Besides demanding a raise in salaries and allowances, the doctors want the government to address the poor state of the country’s public health infrastructure.
