    Provisional results of the Ghana 2010 Population and Housing Census put Ghana's population size at 24,223,431, according to the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS). The figures put the total number of females in the country at 12,421,770 representing 51.3 percent while males totalled 11, 801,661 representing 48.7 percent. - The figures show that the population of Ghana increased by 28.1 percent.
