The districts include Trans-Nzoia, Mt. Elgon, Lugari, West Pokot, Kisii, Gucha and Nyamira in the western highlands, which have suffered the blunt of malaria in the recent past.
Dr. Ayub Manya of the health ministry's malaria control division told a workshop of public health workers Friday, who are undergoing training in indoor residual spraying, the spraying exercise will be launched on 25 April to coincide with Africa Malaria Day observance.
Manya the ministry of health was making headway in reducing incidences of malaria, especially amongst children and expectant mothers after the government took measures, including the distribution of some 3.4 million mosquito nets to vulnerable groups in the country.
